So I went home sick from school the other day, no biggy. Took some meds, took a nap and all was good. That night I was joking around with my mom about having Swine Flu (H1N1) and we were laughing, once again, no biggy. The next morning (2:00 am[ish]) I woke up with terrible chills, and I was really hot at the same time. This is where it got bad. I decided to take my temperature because my neighbor has H1N1 so I figured, "Hell, just as a precaution." It's a good thing I did because I had a fever of 100.7° and took some meds, and all was good, for a while...
So I fell asleep after an hour or two waiting for the meds to kick in, and I woke up around 7:30 or 7:45 am. I didn't go to school due to the previous events. Anyways, I was feeling pretty good in the morning (with the exception of some aches and I was pretty tired) and I was good for a little while, but then I started to get chills again. I threw on my sweat shirts and some sweat pants (shoes, socks, etc...), and it didn't get better. I didn't have a fever at this point however. I was actually at a 98.7° so I was confused. But continuing, I felt like total shit and I, just don't even know.
So eventually I got the fever back (still have it, took some Tylenol though), and things are back to the way they were. Now I'm not sure if this is H1N1 (Swine Flu) or if this is just some gay version of the flu, but it sucks.
Hopefully I'll get better soon, peace out.

Desktop Background - Red Shift
A desktop background that I created using Adobe Photoshop CS4. I was messing around with a "Sci-fi" kind of theme since I had been browsing through such images on Google. I named it Red Shift because in my science class, we had been learning more about the red & blue shifts in the universe (the red shift is proof that the universe is expanding and the blue shift is the theory that our universe is shrinking). As you can see in the picure, there is a blue side and a slowly creeping red side hence the name Red Shift.
Here is the image if you wish to use it. If you use this, please leave a comment so I can know if any one is satisfied.

Well I finally did it! I managed to jailbreak my iPod Touch. The process was kind of difficult the first sicne I had no one to help me. I had few frozen boot stages, and a few computer restores but it worked out and 3rd tim is a charm because on my third time I did it correctly and I did in less than 5 minutes! Well any ways I posted a video on Youtube on my new youtube accout for the new website.

New website!
Hey guys I met goal #4 which was to get a .com website. To see it click here. The website is for me, my friends, and anyone else who sees it. The website contains information about myself, my Youtube stuff, and lots of flash games. One reason why I did this was because of the fact that in school, games are blocked on the computers with a little thing called Webwasher. The schools district thinks that kids actually use there studyhall in the library to study. Well we don't so I decided to bypass that internet censor and upload games to my new website for me, and my friends to enjoy.

A couple of announcments!
Hey well it looks like I got a few things to announce that have to do with this upcoming MLG tournament and related! Ok so I'm just going to start off with announcing the change of our team name. We are no longer TRU3 gaming, however we have changed to Xplicit, aka "Team Xplicit." I along with the rest of my team (me, Matt, Mitch, and Alex) thought that this name was better and more flexible for tournaments.

MLG Competition coming to Columbus!
Well it seems that the time has finally come for an MLG tournament to come to Columbus, OH. This will be the first large gaming tournament to be hosted in Columbus since 2001. This is indeed a public event and anyone can come to watch, or play! The tournament itself starts June 5th and goes through June 7th at the Columbus convention center. As of right now, there are 35 confirmed teams in bracket. There are 3 games that will be played and several "side" games. The main games are going to be Halo 3 and Gears of War 2 at the convention center and then Call of Duty 4 is going to played online ONLY. The official public registration begins on March 5th (the confirmed 35 teams are winners from 2008 bracket). For more information on this event, click here. To register a team, click here. I hope to see you guys there and expect to see the TRU3 crew playing (CoD4 for sure and maybe Halo 3).

Theory of -0 (negative zero)
Ok so I have had this theory for a very long time. It all started back in middle school when my friend Tyler had said that him and my friend Stephen came up with a theory that said, "-0 is infinity!" well for the longest tim I was telling them that there is no such thing as -0. My mind however has changed on the topic since then and I developed a theory that -0 is actually a black hole.
The explanation to my theory can be kind of confusing so just read this and if it makes sense please comment or email me. I believe that -0 is a black hole because "0" alone is that absence of a number or object. So if you were to say, "I have 0 pieces of candy" than that means the candy that was asked for is in absence or isn't and never was there. When you have a "-" sign (minus sign), that means that you are taking away something. If you were to do "10-5=5", that means you are taking away 5 from 10 or taking something, from something. But if you are to put a "-" in front of "0" than you are taking something, away from nothing (literally).
Black holes are nothing and are literally sucking galaxies, stars, gas, light, etc... into itself and once there is nothing left around it, it will keep taking something, from nothing (just like -0!!!). Here is an easy example: Jimmy wants to go to the local candy store, but he doesn't want candy, he wants a bike. So when Jimmy gets there, he is trying to take a bike from a candy store. Well the bike is non-existent (at least not in that store) but Jimmy still keeps trying to take it (just like a black hole!!!!)
Some of this theory of mine might make no sense at all to you, and thats because it's just so complicated that I'm just not sure how to word all of it. If you understand what I am saying and disagree, that is fine because I respect your opinion and I ask kindly that you respect mine and just forget you read this. However if you agree, feel free to drop a comment on this post or pop me off an e-mail at odoat@hotmail.com

Twitter!
Hey just added Twitter to the blog! The gadget is located in the top left area in case you didn't see it already. I'm gonna update a good amount. Probably once or twice a day depending on how things are going that day and what happens as well (maybe more one or two is just a speculation).
Twitter; a free social networking and micro-blogging service that enables its users to send and read other users' updates known as tweets. Tweets are text-based posts of up to 140 characters in length which are displayed on the user's profile page and delivered to other users who have subscribed to them (known as followers).

What I am going to start doing is each week or every other week or maybe just once a month, I will post a topic or something for you guys to discuss and you guys will be able to make a guest post on the blog. I really don't think a lot of people will go for this but in case you guys do, this weeks topic will be "Digital America." All I want you to do for this is create your article (revise, spell check, etc...) then send it to me via e-mail to odoat@hotmail.com and name the subject "Digital America." If I feel that you put time and effort into the typing/revising of your work and it makes sense than I will post it and your name will be one it and whoever has the best article will possibly get a guest blogger account for the website but I'm not sure yet. So if you want to sign up click the "Sign up" button at the bottom of the post (It links to my email)

Possible Staph infection?
Well guys at our very first lacrosse game that we had on the stadium turf, I got a very bad turf burn after taking a slash to the head then falling under the next few slashes that followed. The turf burn ended up getting infected (or is believed by the doctors at the moment) and I started to get a red line going up from the cut up my thigh towards my waist. This alarmed me and I decided that I should see a doctor about it after learning of a recent case at a nearby school where a kid became a double amputee from his whole ordeal. Any ways it I went to the doctor and they started me on anti-biotics which I really can't specify at this time since I am unaware of its name. Well I really hope that it does not turn into a staph infection and I will keep you guys updated so thank you for reading and wish me luck.

A Quote I Made Up
Hey guys I just thought I would share this quote that I came up with. See I was in my study hall and I was bored and we had a lacrosse game today so I though I would try to inspire the team with this; "There are several reasons why we fail, and only one reason why we succeed. We succeed because we know why we failed." ~Kyle Tuite (me)
I just thought that I would share this with you so please let me know what you think.

Digital America
Since the first computer in 1938, to the development of the first working network in 1969, America has striven towards the digitalization of everything man made. It seems that now, it is hard to find a hard copy or hand written copy of something unless your in a school or looking through your old middle school journal. It is estimated that 251,290,489 people in the united states alone use the internet each day, and in a global average, about 19.1% use the internet daily. Now granted, I am no professional mathematician or some sort of crazy smart person but since the worlds technology is getting more advanced, and more common I'm guessing that sometime with in the next 100 years (if we still use our normal computers) that atleast 40% or more of the world will be using the internet for things as simple as checking the news.
In the future there will be no need for news papers or possibly even news channels, weather channels, etc... Every single book now ( as it has been for some time but I still found this prominant) is no longer hand written, not the draft, not the revised copy, or the copy of the copy of the revised copy. Every single stage of a book, newspaper, script, etc... are all typed, then emailed, then faxed, then printed, then mailed again, etc... All around the world possibly within a matter of hours.
Any ways I really think that an all digital America sounds great! But, there is a problem. If there were some odd "cosmic phenomenon" and it were to screw up our computers and our back up files on those computers or even the back ups of the back ups on and off the computers... Then we would be in trouble because of our lack of non-digital information. I think that computers are fantastic and I think that being digital would be good because with out it I wouldn't be able to share my opinion on this. In Dublin, OH, there is a hospital that is brand new that construction was finished in 2008, that is 100% digital. This hospital doesn't have any patient records on paper (This is a good thing because it is pretty green) no original copies of the records on paper (or at least to my knowledge) and no paper copies even in case of emergencies. Now granted they more than likely have an emergency plan on what to do in case they got screwed up but in worst case scenario, if we had that whole Y2K kind of deal, than they as well would have awful problems. Well this is all i'm going to post for now so just keep updated for more added content and opinion.

Conficker Alert!!!
Well it appears that the April Fools day virus "Conficker" is not a joke at all. Conficker currently infects 1-2 million Windows computers and is now supposed to move from dormancy to active today April 1, 2009. If you have not already, Windows has a made a patch to get rid of it! But, if you have not downloaded it as of reading this.... It's more than likely too late. A good page to read for full detail is here. This is what I know if you don't feel like reading the full thing:
- It infects 1-2 million PC users
- There are several different variants of this virus around the net and could affect you without warning
- It can hid from most common anti-virus programs
- NOT A JOKE
- Can't be shut down at this time
- We don't know who made this
- It can and more than likely will activate and infect without any warning
- First to use an MD6 hash algorithm
- You can go to Here for more information
- Does not affect Macintosh
- WE DO NOT KNOW ITS CAPABILLITIES
*ADDED*
Here is some information I got from here its some information on MD6 Hash Function which causes the virus.
Ron Rivest presented his (along with a dozen other people's) new hash,
MD6, yesterday at Crypto. I am not a hash guru although I've implemented
SHA and its ilk many times, so I can't guarantee all my notes are correct.
I will compare it somewhat with SHA as that is what I know.
SHA-1 is a Merkle Damgard hash, meaning that it runs a compression
function that takes as input the chaining value from the previous
compression function block, along with the next block of input, and
compresses that, creating the next chaining value for the next block.
MD6 is a tree hash, so the leaf nodes run the compression function which
takes successive blocks of input and compress it down to a chaining
value. These chaining values are then fed up to a parent node, which
uses the same compression function to produce its own chaining value,
and so on up to the root node. I think the tree branching factor was 4 -
each node has 4 children. There is also an alternative serial mode for
use by memory limited devices, but I don't recall any details on that.
A unique feature of MD6 is that the input to the compression function is
very large - 512 bytes. SHA-1 takes 64 bytes. MD6 is oriented around 64
bit words, so this input is considered to be 64 words. The MD6 chaining
variable is 1024 bits or 16 words - compare to the hash width for the
SHA family ciphers: 160 for SHA-1, 256 or 512 for SHA-256 and SHA-512.
Per NIST's spec, the largest hash output for SHA-3 is 512 bits, so
MD6 intentionally uses a double width chaining variable internally,
and truncates it for output.
The compression function of MD6 is particularly unusual, combining
simple steps with a large number of rounds. In SHA-1 the first thing you
do is to take the 16 32-bit input words and expand them into an 80-word
key array, each word in the expanded input being a function of certain
previous words. Then you run an unbalanced Feistel using the expanded
inputs.
MD6 starts off with something similar, using a somewhat more complex
expansion algorithm, and going on far longer. To my surprise, this is
the whole compression function! The last 16 words of this process are the
output chaining value. There is no Feistel network or any other mechanism.
In more detail, the 64 (64-bit) input words are prefixed by two sets
of about a dozen words - sorry, I don't remember exactly how big these
were. One set is a constant value, and the other set includes a variety
of "environmental" information about the circumstances of this instance
of the compression function. This includes global information like how
wide the hash is that will finally be derived by truncating the final
chaining value; the location of this compression function block in the
hash tree, including in particular whether we are the last (root) node;
and other such data. One notable value here is an optional per-hash key,
for creating a keyed hash, of up to 8 words (512 bits). These prepended
blocks bring the full input size up to about 87 or 89 words - again I
apologize, I am working strictly from memory here.
Now this input begins to be extended. Each additional word is a function
of about 5 of the previous 89 words. They did a search to choose the
best 5 offsets in order to maximize diffusion. The combining function
is quite simple though, composed solely of xors, ands, one right shift
and one left shift. Rivest mentioned that this made it reversible -
a desirable feature as it guarantees that no entropy is lost. At first
I was unclear how doing x = x ^ (x >> 5) for example is reversible,
for example, but then I got it. The shift amounts change each step,
again optimized by a computer search for good mixing.
But the really important point here is that there are a huge number
of such steps. The function is expressed in rounds of 16 steps
each. MD6-256 uses 104 rounds; MD6-512 uses 168. Multiply times 16 and
you are performing this extend step on the order of 2000 times. Again,
the last 16 words are the output of the compression function.
Rivest gave a lot of performance information. Because of the tree
structure, the function is highly parallellizable, and scales almost
linearly with the number of CPU cores available. With 1 core, it is not
super fast: MD6-256 on a 64-bit CPU is 77 MB/sec; MD6-512 is 49 MB/sec.
For comparison, SHA-512 is 202 MB/sec on the same setup. They need about
3 cores to match the speed of SHA-512.
He also presented a number of cryptanalytic results. There is provable
security against differential cryptanalysis, by virtue of the large number
of rounds; also security against side channels. A SAT solver and another
technique could only do something with about 11 rounds, versus the 100+
rounds in the function. The tree structure is also shown to preserve
strong properties of the compression function.
Overall it seemed very impressive. The distinctive features are the tree
structure, very wide input blocks, and the enormous number of rounds.
The cryptanalysis results were favorable. However Adi Shamir stood up
and expressed concern that his new Cube attack might apply. Rivest seemed
confident that the degree of MD6 would be several thousand, which should
be safe from Shamir's attack, but time will tell.
Apologies again to the enormous number of authors if I have any serious
errors above. And thanks to Ron Rivest for publicizing this hash design
several months before the due date (October 31), potentially giving an
advantage to his competitotrs. He emphasized that his goal is to produce
the best possible outcome for the whole process.

GTA IV One Man Army glitch!
Hey guys I have recently found out a secret way to get the one man army glitch with out having to worry about getting killed within the five minute time frame!!!
Here's the steps (If you don't want to read, watch my video here)
1.Go to rotterdam hill. You must have a motorcycle for this to work!
2. Go about halfway back on the bridge to get a good fast start.
3.Once at a good position, go full speed toward the police guarded barriers.
4. After you crash, you should have been flung over the barriers and onto the bridge with no shots fired.
5. Walk for about 30-45 seconds on the bridge then jump off in between the two sides and then go under it so you are on the train tracks.
6. Now, walk for a while and you will get 6 stars but they will go Grey automatically.
7.Now keep going until you get into a tunnel, now just walk around in there or just stand in there for the next 5 or so minutes.
8.You get the achievement!
Not clear enough? Watch my video tutorial here!
